Flussgott II, H 36 cm

I’m still marveling at how Kaendler captured the relaxed posture of a river god in hard porcelain. The 36 cm height makes it feel substantial without overwhelming the shelf.

The way light catches the ripples in the god’s robes makes him look almost alive on my shelf. I placed him next to a small fountain, and the 36 cm height is just imposing enough without overwhelming the room.

I placed him on my mantlepiece and the way the light catches the sculpted waves in his hair is just stunning. He arrived securely packed with no damage, which I really appreciated given the size.
