I wasn't sure if the "Schwanendessin" pattern would look too ornate for everyday use, but the delicate swan motif is actually subtle and lovely on this 21.5 cm dish. It’s the perfect size for a side of roasted vegetables and feels wonderfully balanced in hand.

The scalloped edge is surprisingly crisp and delicate, and the porcelain has that unmistakable Meissen weight to it. I use it for roasted vegetables, and it makes an ordinary side dish feel like a proper dinner party. The swan motif is what drew me in, but the craftsmanship is what sells it.
