Dame mit Mohr, H 26 cm

Bought this as a gift for a friend who collects porcelain figurines, and the 26 cm height gives it a real presence on the shelf. The way the figures are posed feels very true to Scheurich's early 20th-century style, and the craftsmanship looks spot-on.

The porcelain has a wonderfully smooth, almost satin finish that really brings out the 1918-era details in the couple's clothing. I especially love the way the man's coat falls—the sculptor captured real movement in such a small piece.

The delicate pink blush on the woman's cheeks and the intricate folds in her dress show the masterful hand-painting. It’s a lovely, lively piece that fits perfectly on my shelf next to other figurines from that period.
