The way the gold highlights play against the dark stoneware is stunning – it looks like a piece from a royal treasury. I placed it on my mantel and it instantly became the focal point of the room.

The dark glaze really catches the candlelight, making the figures pop. It’s a hefty piece that feels substantial on the table, and the historical nod to silverwork is a nice touch. I’m glad I finally bought this limited edition.

The matte surface of the Böttgersteinzeug feels incredibly authentic, exactly like the historical pieces in a museum. It's taller than I expected at 47 cm, making a strong statement on the console table. The sculpted detail on the "Entführung" scene is surprisingly crisp for stoneware.
