The deep brown glaze has a warm, almost leathery sheen that catches the light beautifully. It feels substantial in hand, heavier than I expected for its size, and the matte finish gives it a wonderfully old-world look.

The little hare has such a charming, old-world presence on my shelf—the dark Böttger stoneware catches the light in a way that feels almost velvety. It’s heavier than I expected, which makes it feel substantial and well-crafted. A perfect nod to Meissen’s early artistry.

The glaze is surprisingly smooth to the touch, like polished stone. It really showcases the artistry of the Böttgersteinzeug—a different texture from the typical porcelain figures I've seen.
