Prato raso, "MEISSEN Collage", "Noble Chinese", Forma "No 41", Ø 33 cm

The plates arrived carefully wrapped, and the mix of centuries-old pattern fragments across the porcelain is genuinely striking up close. At 33 cm it's a proper statement piece for the table, though you'll want to hand-wash it to keep the gilded details sharp.

I was worried the mix of historic patterns might look chaotic, but the way the blue onion snippets blend with the floral motifs on this 33cm plate is surprisingly elegant. It feels substantial without being too heavy, and the glossy finish really makes the details pop.

The way the traditional blue onion pattern mixes with these bold, modern floral cuts on the same plate is such a clever nod to the archive. It feels substantial in the hand, too—that wide 33cm rim really lets the collage of historical details breathe.
