Die Figur "Schokoladenmädchen" ist eine plastische Darstellung des Gemäldes "Das Schokoladenmädchen" von Jean-Étienne Liotard. Liebevoll handbemalt zeugt sie von außergewöhnlichem Kunsthandwerk. Die liebreizende Dekoration zeigt ein Kammermädchen, welches ein Tablett mit einer Tasse Schokolade und Wasserglas trägt. Noch im 18. Jahrhundert galt Kakao als teures und exotisches Genussmittel. Die kleine Portion Luxus wurde daher oftmals in wertvollen Porzellanen serviert. MEISSEN® machte sich Liotards "Schokoladenmädchen" zu eigen, indem der Figur feine Details hinzugefügt wurden. Die goldene Staffierung an Tasse und Tablett unterstreichen den besonderen Wert des Porzellans damals wie heute. Die zarte Dekoration, filigran handbemalt, zeugt von meisterhaftem Kunsthandwerk.
