Diese schmuckvolle Kaffeetasse ziert das berühmte Meissener Zwiebelmuster. Sachsens Kurfürst, "August der Starke" war zeitlebens besonders angetan von blau bemaltem Tafelservice, besonderes Porzellan, handbemalt nach chinesischem Vorbild. Er verlangte nach gleichwertigem Geschirr aus seiner Manufaktur. Tatsächlich stellt das Zwiebelmuster eigentlich keine Zwiebeln dar, sondern zeigt in Anlehnung an das Vorbild Granatapfel, Pfirsich, Bambusstock und zarte Blüten. Im einzigartigen Tafelservice der Form "Neuer Ausschnitt" finden charakteristische Merkmale des Dekoklassikers zu moderner Ästhetik. Die Kaffeetasse ist Bühne für aufwendige Dekore, handbemalt auf edlem Porzellan, Kunstwerk und Geschirr in einem.
