Was der New Yorker Wolkenkratzer und unsere Vase gemeinsam haben? Beide sind hoch und schlank. Und beide entspringen demselben Gedanken: In den 1920er Jahren wollte man organische Formen und Technikwelt miteinander verbinden. Es entstand die Art déco. Den für diese Stilrichtung typischen Dekor mit Pfingstrosenmotiven in Korallenrot, Braun und Gold schuf Emil Paul Börner. Die Vase selbst wurde etwa zur gleichen Zeit von Marianne Høst geschaffen. Für Liebhaber der klassischen Moderne ist die kleine Immobilie eine sichere Investition. Zumal man sie hin- und herrücken kann.
