Für eine neue Auflage dieses geschichtsträchtigen Meissener Dekors entwickelte Porzellanmalerin Anett Gerner eine zeitgenössische Interpretation der historischen Indischmalerei in Form einer knalligen, ungewöhnlichen Farbkombination aus verschiedenen Rottönen mit schwarzen Akzenten. Fünf Phönixe erscheinen hier vor einem leuchtenden Fond aus intensivem Orange im Schalenäußeren bis zu strahlendem Gelb im Inneren. Verheißungsvoll wie eine aufgehende Sonne, fliegen die "wiedergeborenen" Vögel ihr durch ein üppiges Blütenmeer entgegen.
