Die Vogel-Figur "Spechtmeise" ist Ausdruck meisterhaften Kunsthandwerk 's. Das samtig-erdige Böttger-Steinzeug strahlt matte Eleganz und Vollkommenheit aus. Nach nervenaufreibenden Versuchsreihen gelang dem Alchemisten Johann Friedrich Böttger 1707 die Herstellung des sogenannten "Jaspisporzellan". Klare Linien und feine Details verleihen der sich an einen Ast klammernden Vogel-Figur Lebendigkeit und Dynamik.
