Affe vrouwtje met jongen, bont beschilderd

The hand-painted details on the mother monkey’s face are incredibly lifelike, and the earthy matte finish gives it a nice natural feel. It’s a bit more delicate than I expected, so I’m keeping it safely displayed on a high shelf.

The little baby monkey clinging to its mother is so delicately sculpted, you can almost feel the fur. I love the warm, earthy tones of the Böttger finish—it makes the piece feel much more antique and special than standard porcelain. It arrived safely and looks wonderful on my shelf.

The hand-painted detailing is incredibly fine, and the glaze has a lovely depth that photos can't capture. The mother and baby sit together in a very natural pose. Only wish the base was a little wider for better stability.
