Learn how to brew BOTEANICALS Rooibos, Kokos, Erdbeere for a smooth, caffeine-free cup, and how to serve it in Meissen porcelain for a proper tea moment.
Quick answer
Brew BOTEANICALS Rooibos, Kokos, Erdbeere with water just off the boil (about 95°C) for 5–7 minutes, using one heaped teaspoon per cup. Serve it in a pre-warmed Meissen porcelain cup to enjoy the full aroma.
Why this rooibos blend rewards a gentler steep
Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free and forgiving, but the coconut and strawberry in this blend are delicate. Water at a rolling boil can flatten the fruit notes and make the cup taste dull. Letting the kettle rest for a minute after boiling gives you a softer extraction that keeps the strawberry bright and the coconut rounded.
Because the blend is loose leaf, you have full control over strength. Start with the recommended amount and adjust after the first cup; a finer mesh infuser or a traditional porcelain teapot both work well.
Serving temperature and porcelain matter
Rooibos tastes best when served hot but not scalding. Pre-warming your cup with hot water prevents the tea from cooling too quickly and keeps the aroma forward. Meissen porcelain is a practical choice here: it holds heat well and its smooth glaze does not retain flavors from previous teas.
If you plan to add milk or a sweetener, taste the tea first. The blend already carries sweetness from the strawberry and coconut, so you may find you need less than expected.
Step-by-step brewing and serving
- Measure the leaf: Use one heaped teaspoon (about 2–3 grams) of BOTEANICALS Rooibos, Kokos, Erdbeere per 200 ml cup. Adjust slightly if you prefer a stronger or lighter cup. A digital scale gives you repeatable results; a heaped teaspoon is fine for everyday brewing.
- Heat the water correctly: Bring fresh water to a boil, then let it rest for about one minute before pouring. The target temperature is around 95°C—hot enough to extract flavor but not so hot that it scalds the fruit notes. If you do not have a thermometer, the one-minute rest is a reliable guide.
- Steep for 5–7 minutes: Pour the water over the leaves and cover the cup or pot to keep the heat in. Steep for 5 minutes for a lighter cup, or up to 7 minutes for a fuller, sweeter infusion. Taste at 5 minutes; if you want more depth, continue steeping in one-minute increments.
- Strain and serve: Remove the infuser or strain the tea into a pre-warmed Meissen porcelain cup. Serve immediately. Do not leave the leaves sitting in the water, or the cup can turn bitter.
- Optional: add milk or sweetener: Taste before adding anything. If you want a richer cup, a splash of milk works well, but the blend is already sweet from the coconut and strawberry. Add milk only after tasting; you may not need it.
