Walnussdose, Platinpunkt, L 6,5 cm

The hand-painted finish on this walnut-shaped box is remarkably delicate for the size, and the platinum dot really catches the light on a shelf. It feels like a proper little objet d'art rather than just a trinket, and the replica detail from the 18th-century form gives it real character.

I was a little worried the walnut shape would be too small for my taste, but at 6.5 cm it's actually the perfect size for a desk trinket. The hand-painted details are delicate and the platinum dot gives it just the right amount of shine without being gaudy.

The platinum dot on the top catches the light beautifully, and the hand-painted details feel much more intricate than I expected. It looks lovely sitting on my vanity holding a few small trinkets.
