鳥・シジュウカラ、多色彩、高さ14cm

The fine porcelain captures the bird's alert, tilted head perfectly, and the hand-painted blue feathers have a lovely subtle sheen. It's exactly the right size for a bookshelf, adding a playful touch without being overwhelming.

The little blue tit’s cheeky pose is even better in person, and the hand-painted details on the feathers are remarkably sharp for a piece this size. It’s clearly made with the same care as Kaendler’s original 1743 design, and it sits perfectly on my shelf among my other ceramics.

The way the glaze catches the light on the blue feathers really brings this little bird to life on my shelf. It’s surprisingly sturdy for its 14 cm size, and I love the mischievous tilt of its head.
