Reh, Böttgersteinzeug, H 12,5 cm

The matte finish of this Böttgersteinzeug figurine is even more beautiful in person, with a subtle earthy sheen that catches the light perfectly. It's surprisingly solid and weighty for its 12.5 cm size, making it feel like a true art piece rather than a trinket.

I was nervous about the shipping, but the "Reh" arrived completely intact — the delicate legs are more sturdy than they look. The soft, earthy glaze has a lovely depth that changes subtly in different light.

The matte finish on this Böttgersteinzeug figure is even more beautiful in person, and the little deer has a wonderful weight to it that feels substantial. It sits perfectly on my bookshelf and catches just the right light.
