Orang-Utan, Böttgersteinzeug, H 18 cm

I put this little orangutan on my desk and keep catching myself staring at the details, especially the texture of the rotbraun stoneware. It’s quite heavy for its size, which feels reassuringly solid.

The orangutan's pose is so lifelike, I keep expecting it to move. The reddish-brown stoneware captures the animal's expression perfectly, and the 18 cm height makes it a striking display piece.

The texture of the Böttgersteinzeug really captures the orangutan's thick, rough coat perfectly. It’s heavy and solid in hand, and I keep noticing new details in the posture every time I look at it.
