Miniatur-Glocke, Böttgersteinzeug, H 5 cm

The ceramic has a nice, smooth weight to it that feels surprisingly substantial for such a small ornament. I hung it on a lower branch and the gentle clink when it taps the glass is really pleasant.

Tiny but perfectly formed — this little bell has real weight in the hand, and the unglazed stoneware gives it an earthy feel that stands out against shiny plastic ornaments. It rings with a surprisingly clear, soft tone when tapped. Exactly what I wanted for a more natural-looking tree.

The glaze has a warm, slightly matte finish that catches the light beautifully. It looks perfect hanging on our tree, and the size is just right for a subtle accent.
